Josh Hendrick is a hazardous materials and emergency preparedness consultant with more than 20 years of experience in emergency services and over five years in environmental emergency response and remediation. His career spans both the public and private sectors, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on hazardous materials incidents, emergency preparedness, and organizational readiness.
As a consultant with Vantage Point Consulting, Josh provides training and consulting services focused on hazardous materials response and emergency preparedness. He facilitates Hazardous Materials Technician and Operations courses, Hazardous Materials First Receiver training, Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) programs, and other customized preparedness and response courses for emergency responders, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and private industry.
Josh has managed environmental emergency response and remediation operations, led the management of large-scale hazardous materials and all-hazards incidents, supported complex transportation and industrial emergencies, and worked alongside public safety agencies, private industry, healthcare organizations, and government agencies to protect lives, property, and the environment. This combination of operational and consulting experience allows him to bridge the gap between industry and emergency response, helping clients develop practical, effective solutions to complex challenges.
His areas of expertise include hazardous materials response, incident command, CBRN preparedness, emergency planning, alternative fuel vehicle hazards, and building practical response capabilities through realistic, hands-on training. Josh is passionate about helping organizations build sustainable response capabilities through sound planning, realistic training, and operational excellence. He believes the most effective emergency response programs are built on strong partnerships, continuous improvement, and practical solutions tailored to each organization’s unique needs.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, and their five children, including two sets of twins. Whether serving clients, teaching in the classroom, or spending time with family, he is committed to making a positive impact through leadership, service, and education.
